What You Really Believe
We live in a world where everyone appears to have it all together, right! We scroll through our Facebook pages and other social media platforms and we see people branding themselves as coaches - financial coaches, branding coaches, spiritual coaches, career coaches - and list goes on for days. It seems that everybody is an expert at something.
I admire all of that. People who find their passion and excel in that passion are worth examining. Rest assured - they all have one common denominator - they believed! They renewed their minds and they got results.
Just for a moment, can you be opened to the prospect that you have some characteristics of a person with a fixed mindset when it comes to yourself? Secretly, you believe that your qualities are fixed and therefore, cannot change. Subconsciously, you'd rather document your intelligence and talents rather than working to develop and improve them. Oh, and yes. You believe that talent alone leads to success and effort is not required. The way you think and speak about yourself, to yourself MATTERS.
How many times have you hoped for someone else, that they reach their goals? You might've said, "do it for them, Lord". You may have even caught yourself saying, "God is no respecter of person. If He did it for them, He can do it for me." The only problem is, you really don't believe it. Ask me how I know!
You have been denying your deepest heart's desires. In the meantime, you are miserable and just getting through each day. All that's required to change your experiences in life is to rewrite your story. I know that sounds easier than done. And it is but, you have to work to accomplish it. You have to put EFFORT and work into it. When you are clear about your past, present and future, you will want to show up in your life and make life happen.
Indulge me and do these few things to change the trajectory of your life:
NO FAILURE! Make a list of everything you would do if you knew you could not fail.
Don't be shy about it. Think back to your younger days. What outrageous things did you think you could accomplish when you were fearless?
NO REJECTION! Make a list of everything you would do if you knew you would face rejection.
Rejection keeps us bound. You are holding on to concepts of the way things should be based on what other people think and have shared those thoughts with you. This will make you feel contracted, shut down and closed.
SELF THOUGHTS! What are the thoughts that are keeping you from going after what you want? List them.
As long as there's a tug of war in your mind and what's really in your heart, you will remain stagnant. Be real. What have you been telling yourself?
Look at these lists. Analyze them and make notes. Correct some of the language you've used in this exercise and change any negative thoughts to positive thoughts. You have the power to rewrite your life. It's not too late!
If you've been allowing yourself to be pulled in all directions and you have no clarity in your life, you may want to consider enrolling in our Build Your Own Blueprint online course. It is possible to do what you love and show up in your own life.
Don't let setbacks finish you!
